Why yes, they Are all insane

Of the many strange, disturbing, and amusing things that happen at work, Between all the long bouts of boredom and/or tedium of course, this exchange left me the most bewildered:

< scene opens as cashier turns to average looking guy- yuppieish late 20s hispanic- buying an overpriced car magazine. He glances up as she takes his money, revealing a strange (later determined to be "derranged") glimmer in his eyes. >

*courteous, well-worn cashier smile* *blip* *ching* [hands over change]

Derranged Guy[rushed]: "You know Keanu Reeves?"

Cashier: "Keanu....... Reeves....?"

Derranged Guy: "OhyeahKeanublahblahAutoadblahblahGQmagazinerambleramble.-- Oh wait I thought you actually knew him!"

< exeut oddball. very quickly. then reverse. come back. walk hurriedly back and forth a moment at the front of the store. Stares at me. (Probably because I have been watching him.) and rushes out >

It was really the strangest and most confusing bit ever. Not at all angry and violent like many of the others, but the most honestly off-kilter.

And I don't like Keanu Reeves. I doubt I would allow him to hang out with me. Sorry dude.
